About Marissa Garcia
Marissa Garcia attended Texas A&M University-Kingsville and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Art and Science, Business Specialty, in 2001. She then pursued her law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law and graduated and received her license in 2004. While in law school, Marissa was an active member of Law Review for two years and was involved in various groups such as the Houston Young Lawyers Association, the Hispanic Law Student Association, the American Bar Association and the Student Bar Association.
Since then, Marissa has practiced law in Harris and surrounding counties enhancing her skills in Guardianship, Heirship, Probate, Personal Injury, and Criminal Defense. At present, Marissa is a Certified Mediator in civil and family law matters, a Certified Attorney ad Litem for Guardianship and Heirship cases, as well as, a member of the Houston Bar Association.
On her free time, Marissa stays busy volunteering as a mediator for the Dispute Resolution Center where she mediates civil and family disputes. Marissa is also a parishioner at St. Vincent de Paul Parish and is the coordinator for their Young at Heart group.
